York} is a city in Pennsylvania.

Hitchhiking out

All of the 30 on York is thumbable. But here's a tip. Don't hitch on 30 near the center of York, there's A LOT of traffic there and york is also kind of bad . So if someone is going to York. Tell them to drop you off on thirty before you get to York. Going West here I think is better than going to Philadelphia. Between York and Gettysburg on Rt. 30 is a real gem of America, you will be proud(as an American) and amazed to ride on that old lincoln hwy through this rural and paradisaical country to Gettysburg.

Hitchhiking in

If you use York as a next stop on your sign, that's probably not a bad idea. But like before hitching out. Don't get dropped off in York get dropped off before you get there .In my opinion being near the city center at all on rt 30 is going to be a crappy day for you. York is not the best town in the area. Lancaster is MUCH safer and nicer. Anything West of York is also much safer and nicer. You can probably only get here from rt. 30

Places to avoid

high crime supposedly dont get dropped off on rt. 30 in york tell them to drop you off before. From what ive heard from locals they have warned me to stay away or out of York constantly. That's words I trust. Stay out of York. PASS THROUGH YORK ASAP and dont go to York late at night. Get to York, and ride the 30 east or west.

Other useful info

Repetition. Get dropped off on rt. 30 BEFORE YORK. DONT DODGE 30 JUST TO DODGE YORK. RIDE THAT BAD BOY TO GETTYSBURG.
