Hitchhiking out
North, East, Kuopio, Jyväskylä, Kouvola
From the centrum of Lahti, walk 3km to a motorway ramp of road #4. Walk north on Aleksanterinkatu and Karjalankatu to a T-crossroad. walk 200m left (Kouvola direction) and by a small crossroad. Hitch-hike from the second crossroad on a ramp. The walk takes about 30min. After Lahti there is a gib Motorest called Tähtihovi. Make sure you will get there, if your ride is going to Heinola. Otherwise you may have to walk through the whole city. There are a lot of cops around Heinola, too. Or if you are going to Kuhmo or Kajaani (or anywhere at the road #5) you can also try the Hartwall factory. It's behind the T-crossroad (mentioned above). Around 1pm there are a lot of beer trucks going north.
