Hitching out
North towards Omaha
The best ramp to be on to get north is the ramp at the intersection of I29 and US 36 westbound. Many long distance travelers are coming along US 36 westbound from Hannibal and Illinois. If you hitch on the ramp coming from US 36 eastbound you will get more local traffic ride offers and less of a chance to snag a long distance ride to Omaha or Lincoln.
South towards Kansas City
